Pedro de Lemos might’ve been Northern California’s preeminent Renaissance man. An accomplished printmaker, de Lemos — who also wrote books and ran Stanford University’s art museum and gallery — excelled in painting, drawing, metal, leather, even cement. The Monterey Museum of Art is hosting the first exhibition devoted solely to his works, which draw inspiration from traditional Japanese woodblock prints and the Arts and Crafts movement alike.
